2025 SUMMER POOL PARTY for Potters Guild with Cindy and Dudley

The annual SAPG pool party is approaching. Here are the details you want to know:

Park on the street, not the driveway. There's plenty of room. If you need handicap access closer, let Leslie Newton know by email or text.

Dudley and Cindy will greet you in the carport with a glass of something with bubbles.

This a pot luck event. Bring food to share, enough for perhaps 10-20. Options are: main dish, vegetable or other side dish, dessert, salad. The Guild is not supplying BBQ this year in the interest of fiscal responsibility. If you decide on a main dish, adjust the amount to your desires and budget.  If you cannot bring a food item, contact Leslie Newton for other options like ice or drinks, but don't do this without prior knowledge please.

Members will get a piece of Dudley's pottery to take home.

If you want to see what Dudley has been making lately, the showroom will be open and the air conditioner will be on.

He will do a throwing demonstration using a round rib in combination with a cow's tongue rib,

There will be a tour of the glaze kiln area for those who are interested.

Be sure to bring your bathing suits and towels because the pool has just been redone and we want people to enjoy it. There is a place for you to change clothes. Remember...this is a POOL party.

Guests are welcome but no children, please. Please respect the hours posted for the party. There will be a donation jar for contributions you wish to make to the Guild Scholarship Fund but this is a free event for all.

We’re launching monthly General Meetings on the 4th Sunday of the month, each one paired with a hands-on workshop for a creative and engaging experience.

This first meeting will feature a unique workshop with Maria Gould leading us in a hands-on bookbinding session. Come make a simple journal/sketchbook to keep track of your ideas, glazing combinations, firing results or grocery lists!
Students will make a decorated cover, sew pages to make a simple folio and put the two parts together. There is a lot of gluing involved so be prepared to get your fingers sticky.
    All materials will be provided.
We'll also be hosting a pottery-themed book sale at this event with titles every clay lover will appreciate.

Join us for a short meeting, and stick around for the fun!

P.S. Please note that you DO NOT have to sign up to attend a general meeting.  You DO have to sign up if you are staying for the workshop.  This will allow us to have the proper quantity of materials available.
